- כֵּןI (b. h.; v. כִּי, כָּךְ) so, thus. Ber.11b וכן הוא אומר and so we read; a. v. fr.אם כן, אלא אם כן, v. אִם.לָכֵן for such a purpose. Y.Maas. Sh. II, 53b bot. דרכו ל׳ it is usually employed for such a purpose. Y.Erub.VII, beg.24b ייחדו ל׳ he devoted it to such יתר על כן, יתר מִכֵּן, v. יֶתֶר I.
